From BKK to Uthaithani, I lost my way to 9 kms.before Nakornsawan because the highway was underconstruction and the sign was in the dark. The next morning, we started our trip so late: it was 09.45 hrs.when we departed the Uthai River Lake Resort heading to Nakornsawan where we turned left to the ring road to avoid traffic in the city.I decided to fill some more gas and paid THB1,220 for 51.84 litres. Now the accumulated expenses record was: the toll fee B40, gas B1,220, Misc.at 7-11 was B140, Accommodation B1,400 >>total B2,800.
We stopped at the noodle shop "Kuai Tiew Rimping" (Pa Mali)Tak Province at almost 13.00hrs. The taste of noodle here is so rich in flavour which attract us every time travelling to Tak. It was a pity that our favourite boil rice with curry was finished because of our late arrival. We spent another THB350 for noodle and some snack for souvenir. Our journey started again at 13.50 hrs.via Toen, Lampang-Ngao highway and arrived at the Kiw Lom Dam parking at 17.00 hrs.after shopping at "Big C" for our dinner.
Khun Thana Kaewnil, the owner was at the pier with his speed boat to welcome us as VIP guests. Normally, he would request all guests to take the local boatmen's service to support the community to earn some livings. The fare would be THB100 per person at the minimum charge of THB300 one way. On the way back, the boatmen would pick you up on appointment. We had the BBQ party at the restaurant. I always feel happy and relax when I arrive here. No wonder why I had visited the Koh Wang Kaew Resort (For more info: http://www.wangkaewresort.com/) for more than 10 times now. I was arranged to stay at the new bungalow: there are 2 rooms (THB1,500/room/day). I like the bath room and the LPG powered hot water bath which we considered the best of all during this trip.
We had some guests as our neighbor: they parked their raft and put many fishing gears along the shore. We found later that there was less birds to wake us up in the morning like last time because of these people. We knew later that after this fishing group left and we departed, there were hundred of wild ducks migrated to the lake near by.
